A: I have a question, people today always find themselves in a rush, what do you think are the reasons?

B: I think one of the reasons is because today we exchange information in a very fast speed, it pushes people to respond to everything fast.

C: I agree, phones and internet definitely made it easy for people to exchange information. It used to take days, even months to get a letter, now it only takes seconds.

A: That's right, once you see the mails, it is hard to ignore them. And there maybe several matters come in at the same time, which leaves people no choice but to rush.

B: There must be a way to slow down the pace. What do you think?

C: You are right, I think prioritise the tasks can help. Set up which matters are more important, then do it first.

A: That's a great idea, that way you can control the pace. Instead of rush to finish everything all together, one can deal with the most important things first, then leave the less urgent tasks until later when there is more time.

B:Yes, that is the idea.

话题二：

A: What is the greatest challenge you've met since you entered university?

B: It was a challenge for me to live by myself for the first time. It used to be just me in my room, and my parents take care of everthing, including lanudry and meals. Now I have to plan these things by myself.

C: Yes, it took me some time to adapt to the dorm life too. For me the challenge was to live with many others in the same dorm. I used to have my own room and didn't have to share anything with others. I'm glad I get along with my roommates, but it was a big change for me.

A: The classes too. We have to plan the schedule by ourselves. There are so many different classes to chose from, and sometimes two classes are close to each other, it is hard to manage to be on time for the second one.

B: That's true! I'm proud of myself wasn't late for any classes for the first year! What in your life do you feel most proud of?

C: I most proud of myself getting in this university, it was years of hard study, I got up everyday 5am and sleep late at night. I guess hard work do pay itself.

A: For me it is that I can provide my self now. I take part time jobs and I pay my own expenses. I may still need some help from parents sometime, but I'm happy I can take some burden off them.

B: Parents are the greatest people, they realy will do everything for us. If you ask me who do you admire the most, I'd say it is my parents! What about you? Who do you admire the most?

C: Among the people I know? I admire my grandpa the most. He used to be in the war. I used to sit and hear him telling me about the experiences he had for hours. He got sick last year, doctor says he was in great pain, but he was still smiling and didn't complain a word. He is the greates person I know.

A: That's a moving story. I hope your grandpa is doing well now. The person I admire the most is my high school teacher. She treated us like her own children. She always comes the first and leave the last, answers everyone's questions in patient. She never raised her voice, but everyone would listen to her carefully. She is the most wise person I've ever met.

B: A middle school classmate was my role model, he was mature than most of us at the age. His mother was sick and he had to help the family taking care of her. I could tell he was sad too, but he did show much. He took a lot of time taking care of his mother, at the same time he was still the best student in the class. I don't know how he managed to do that. I admire him until today.
