stand out和standout的区别

outstanding一般是指在某项活动（一般是竞技类的，如学业考试，体育竞赛，科技竞赛）等等方面突出，表现优秀，可以用来形容他人。顺便说一句，是形容词。
给个例子：she

outstanding
in

game;
这种优秀也可以拓展到某一领域，比如：
john
is
outstanding
in
mathematics;
stand
out一般可以替换outstanding的意思（但大多数人不这样用），同时，它有“某些特征突出”的意思，就是说这个人因某些方面与众不同，显然outstanding涉及的领域stand
out都可以用，但一般用于你的句子这样的环境。
按你的句子，应该这样说：he
stands
out
in
the
team
for
his
height.
