三大推理文学宗师的克里斯蒂
阿加莎·克里斯蒂，原姓米勒，全名为阿加莎·玛丽·克拉丽莎·米勒，英国乃至世界文坛的侦探小说大师。1890年9月15日生于英国德文郡托基的阿什菲尔德宅邸，1976年1月12日，逝世于英国牛津郡的沃灵福德家中，安葬在牛津郡的圣玛丽教堂墓园，终年85岁。
阿加莎·克里斯蒂开创了侦探小说的“乡间别墅派”，即凶杀案发生在一个特定封闭的环境中，而凶手也是几个特定关系人之一。欧美甚至日本很多侦探作品也是使用了这一模式。
阿加莎·克里斯蒂是一名高产的作家，她的作品不仅局限于侦探小说，全部作品包括66部长篇推理小说，21部短篇或中篇小说选集，15个已上演或已发表的剧本，3个剧本集，6部以笔名玛丽·维斯特麦考特发表的情感小说，2部以笔名阿加莎·克里斯蒂·马洛温发表的作品（包括记录异域生活的回忆录1部，宗教题材的儿童读物1部），1部自传，2部诗集，2本与侦探俱乐部的会员作家们合写的长篇推理小说（2本***3部）。
据吉尼斯世界纪录统计，阿加莎·克里斯蒂是人类史上最畅销的著书作家。而将所有形式的著作算入，只有圣经作者与威廉·莎士比亚的总销售量在她之上。至今其著作曾翻译成超过103种语言，总销突破20亿本。在法国，截至2003年，她一***卖出4,000万本法文版的著作，为法国书籍销量纪录保持者，远胜于第二位法国大文豪左拉的2,200万本。她是公认的“侦探小说之后”（Queen of Crime），对英国侦探小说的发展有很重要的影响和富争议的启发。
阿加莎·克里斯蒂的大部分小说都曾搬上银幕，部分著作，如《东方快车谋杀案》和《尼罗河谋杀案》等更多次改编成电影和电视作品。英国BBC电视台曾经拍摄不少关于波罗和马普尔的故事，曼彻斯特的格拉纳达电视台（Granada Television）后来亦以大卫·苏歇（David Suchet）饰演波罗，拍摄电视剧。在2004年，日本NHK电视台甚至把波罗和马普尔的故事改编为动画，称为《阿加莎·克里斯蒂的名侦探波罗与马普尔》（Agatha Christie's Great Detectives Poirot and Marple）。 下列年份是小说首次出版的时间。阿加莎·克里斯蒂的短篇小说在英国和美国经常会被重新收录结集，故有时会出现重复。
