story 和 tale 有什么区别

1. story 表示“故事”，属普通用词 ，其内容可以是真实的或虚构的，且往往有一个完整的情节。如：

Please tell us a story. 请给我们讲个故事吧。

The play is really a love story. 这出戏实际上是一个爱情故事。

2. tale 表示“故事”，其内容通常带有神话或假想色彩，且往往涉及古代的事。如：

This is a fairy tale. 这是一个童话故事。(不说：a fairy story)

Boys like to listen to tales of adventure. 男孩子喜欢听冒险故事。
