later on和later的区别

① later 表示"晚些时候"。如：

You can watch the game on TV later.

晚些时候你可以在电视上看到这场比赛。

② later on 表示"过些时间以后"、"后来"，常见于过去时。如：

Later on, I wrote a letter to her and soon I heard from her again.

后来我给她写了封信，不久又收到了她的回信。

注意：

当表示具体的多长时间以后不能用 later on，而用later。如：

three years later

三年之后
